» PA ISSUES ANOTHER THREAT OVER ISRAEL’S SECURITY PROCEDURES

        The PA has ‘warned’ that a continuation of the Israeli policy by which suspicious persons are detained and questioned by security agents stationed at crossings between the PA and Israel would lead to the "spilling of blood." PA officials have called the practice unacceptable. Israel security establishment officials have indicated that the current security policy would continue, despite objections by the PA.

» IRAN HAS TRANSFERRED LONG-RANGE ROCKETS TO LEBANON

        Government sources confirmed a report that Iran has delivered two types of long-range rockets into Lebanon. The first has a range of 43 km, and the second has a range of 70 km, which could strike Haifa, Israel’s third largest city. Both rockets can be launched from vehicles and can be easily concealed. The sources said the rockets are being kept with Iranian forces in Lebanon for use in any future conflict with Israel.

        Oil Minister Amer Mohammed Rashid urged his partners in the Organization of Petroleum Exporting Countries not to yield to American pressure to raise output in order to bring down the price of crude oil, which has been surging near $30 a barrel.
