Y2K READINESS - The U.S. Defense Special Weapons Agency, responsible for maintaining the safety and security of nuclear stockpiles, has admitted falsifying readiness reports on fixing the year 2000 computer date-recording problem. The AP press reported today that the inspector general noted in a June 5 report that only 25 percent of the 430 critical pentagon computer systems had been tested before certified as Y2K compliant.
